This course is ideal for intermediate fly fishers who want to improve their two-handed casting technique, learn to read salmon water, and prepare their gear for the summer season.
We limit group size to a maximum of 8 participants to ensure personal instruction from our professional guides.

10:00 – Arrival at Lohiranta (Ranuantie 219, Simo), welcome coffee
10:15 – Gear check & casting basics by the river
13:00 – Lunch
14:00 – Guided fishing at Lapinkoski and nearby pools
18:00 – Dinner at Lohiranta
20:00 – Sauna & fly-tying session (or night fishing for the keen)

🌊 Why Simojoki?
Simojoki is Finland’s only fully wild salmon river entirely within national borders. With open riverbanks and shallow flows, it offers easy wading and excellent fly fishing throughout the season. In early June, aggressive salmon begin their upstream run—this is one of the best times to target them with a well-presented fly.
